Who we are and what we do
Jumpstart Ministries is a faith-based, humanitarian nonprofit organization devoted to bring the Gospel into different neighborhoods in the Phoenix Valley. We believe that there is hope in Jesus Christ and that He can transform families' lives. We offer a free, interactive and fun after-school program, that teaches children ages 3-12 years old and their families, that learning about Jesus can be fun. Through regular food pantries and free garage sales we also help families with their physical needs.

Jumpstart Ministries started in 2000 and was based on the principals of Metro World Child. We are currently reaching families in the Chandler downtown area, but we hope to expand.
Our Vision
Making hope a reality for the children of our community through the Love of Jesus.
About the Director
Joanne Sweeney
As a young girl growing up with with four siblings, our household was filled with despair and fear. My mom did her best to take care of us kids, while our father was spending time in prison. Eventually he was released but our home life was not secure.
One day, a man from a local church came by to see if we were interesting in going to Sunday School. And so Mr. Eglie would come by and pick us up. I was committed to church and loved learning everything I could about the Lord. I was ready every time they came to pick me up, went to camp every year, and stayed at Calvary Open Bible Church until I married my husband.

The people at Calvary Open bible Church gave me hope and I thank God for my experience and the growth I had there. It was through people like Mr. Eglie that made a difference in my life. And that is what I want children to experience as well.
